Year Round Intercession Camp

Notes: This program is being run in request from year round school parents, however if we do not meet our minimum enrollment requirement of 24 participants, we will be unable to run this program. Must wear closed toed shoes (water shoes are preferable to Crocs which tend to come off in the marsh mud). Clothing should be able to get messy and dirty. Weather permitting campers will enjoy many of the activities that the summer campers participated in. We request campers should wear or bring their swim suits their first day. Girls should wear two pieces to make using the bathroom easier. Must come to camp with sunscreen already applied. We will reapply during the camp day as necessary. Bring weather appropriate jackets. Please pack old pair of close toed shoes to wear on field trips. More details will be provided in confirmation materials. Students need to bring a nutritious bagged lunch and beverage in a flexible container o No glass bottles, caffeinated beverages or chewing gum o If not in a water-proof lunch box, please put lunch in a plastic bag Students are strongly advised also to pack 2 nutritious snacks and beverages for morning and afternoon snack. We will have water available all day. ***Please try to avoid snacks that contain peanuts for the safety of any fellow student who has severe allergies. All participants must fill out a liability waiver, emergency contact information and health information forms. If a child requires any medication, please provide detailed instructions and bring medicine in labeled container. For convenience drop off / pick up will be in the far end of the Long Leaf Mall parking lot (near Monkey Joes). Please look for the MarineQuest Van. Students will be signed in/out of MarineQuest care at drop-off and pick-up. Students will be shuttled by MarineQuest staff to the Center for Marine Science promptly after drop-off. Cancellation Fee: $45 because of supplies that will be purchased in advance.

Programs are specifically designed for grades 3-5. Participants must be currently enrolled in grades 3-5 at the time of the program.

- 8 am drop off at CMS/ check-in
- 8:30 opening presentation of theme
- 9:00 lab investigation
- 10:00 snack break
- 10:15 field investigation
- 11:00 clean up
- 11:30 lunch
- 12:15 clean up/ depart for field site
- 12:45 arrive at field site
- 2:45 depart field site for CMS
- 3:15 arts & crafts/video/games/lab experiment
- 3:45 pick up at CMS/ check-out
Cancellation Fee: $45 because of supplies that will be purchased in advance.
