Saturday Morning Marine Explorers: Lucky Fish (Ages 6 - 11)
Join our MarineQuest staff this fall for Saturday mornings filled with exciting scientific fun at the UNCW Center for Marine Science. Each month, we focus on a different theme as we get hands-on to explore sea creatures, marine habitats and ocean phenomena through lab experiments, field activities, games, art and more. Experience first-hand what it's like to be a true Marine Explorer!
Registration in our Spring 2015 Program Series includes participation in the following dates/programs:
Please complete the attached release form and bring it with you on the day of the event. It is very important that you complete this form and bring it with you. Your child will not be allowed to participate without signed forms on the day of the program.
5600 Marvin Moss Lane off of Masonboro Loop Road. Travel South towards Carolina Beach on Hwy 132 South (College Road) to the median-break traffic light at Mohican Trail. Make LEFT onto Mohican, continuing straight until it ends at Masonboro Loop Road. Turn RIGHT onto Masonboro Loop Road. Marvin K. Moss Lane is about ½ mile on the LEFT. Our facility is at the end by the Intracoastal Waterway. Please follow all MarineQuest signs once you arrive.

February 21, 2015 - Rubber Ducky, you're the one!
Celebrate Valentine’s day at MarineQuest as we discover how lovable rubber duckies are helping scientist learn about the ocean gyres and plastic marine debris.
March 14, 2015 - March Roars in like a Lion Fish
Discover the invasive species that are taking up residence in our coastal waters and learn what scientists are doing to tame them.
April 11, 2015 - Ocean Scum & Algal blooms
Join MarineQuest as we investigate the microscopic world of phytoplankton to learn how they benefit and sometimes even harm the marine environment.

Due to the advance preparation and purchasing required for this program NO REFUNDS will be provided for the Marine Explorers program.
