Nature's Engineers: Construction Critters (ages 6-8)
For ages 6-8 must have completed kindergarten
Did you know that beavers, bees and birds are some of nature's most talented engineers? Or that some critters can actually engineer entire ecosystems? Join us for a week of engineering excitement learning how curious critters build some of nature's most remarkable structures, like spider webs and termite mounds. Discover material science. Have fun building while developing your engineering skills.
Activities: investigate ant hills, bee hives, spider webs, warbler nests, and more. Experience a model beaver dam.
Highlights: use engineering skills to build a natural structure of your very own.
Visit Cape Fear Museum.
Cancellation policy: No refunds will be given within 2 weeks prior to the start date of your camp session. A 25% cancellation fee will be charged up to 2 weeks prior to camp start date. Please note that there will be a $25 processing fee for any changes in dates of enrollment.
