Wine Society: Summer Wine Dinner

The Dinner will consist of a passed appetizer and four courses created from locally sourced ingredients accompanied by Summer-friendly wine varietals specifically chosen for each course.


Passed Appetizer: Grilled Shrimp & Mango salad with avocado & pickled jalapenos

1st Course: Hand-cut pasta with uncooked tomato sauce & homemade ricotta topped with local Humble Roots Farm arugula & micro basil

2nd Course: Garlic & herb roasted leg of lamb with cucumber tzatziki and pickled beets

3rd Course: Pork Carnitas with grilled peaches, charred onion & pomegranate molasses served on smoked corn salad

4th Course: Almond shortcakes with lemon curd, macerated berries & fresh whipped cream

All participants will be eligible to order/take home mixed cases of the wines tasted at a 15% discount.

Registration cost of $70 includes all gratuities and taxes.

Refunds/Cancellations: If you withdraw from a class 3 working days prior to the first day of class, you are entitled to a full refund minus a $10 cancellation fee, unless stated otherwise in the program description. For special event such as trips/plays there are no refunds after the registration deadline. If the class is cancelled by UNCW due to low enrollment, inclement weather, etc., a full refund will be issued.
