Notes: Thank you for participating in a QENO program at UNCW. Trainings will occur from 9 AM to Noon on all three days. (April, 2,9 & 16) Continental breakfast will be provided. Refunds/Cancellations: There are no refunds after the registration deadline of March 28, 2014. If the class is canceled by UNCW due to low enrollment, inclement weather, etc., a full refund will be issued.

Description

Boards are a decision-making body and responsible for governing a nonprofit organization. Providing overall leadership and policy direction, the board ensures sound stewardship of nonprofit assets and resources, are held to the highest legal and ethical standards, and ensure their loyalties are to the nonprofit through prudent good faith decisions to advance the nonprofit organization's mission. this 3 module course teaches you the responsibilities of being a board member, practices that you can implement to increase the effectiveness of your board, and how to keep your board motivated and engaged.

Class dates will be:
Module 1, March 23 8:30am-10:30am--Board Roles & Responsibilities
Module 2, March 23 10:30am-12:30pm-- Intentional Practices
Module 3, April 20, 2016 8:30am-10:30am--Board Revitalization
